AD explore the cutting-edge design of Apple's new 175-acre campus
Providing a solution for the challenge of gathering 12,000 Apple employees in one building, the soon-to-be-completed Apple Park by UK architecture firm Foster + Partners is set to form Apple's new headquarters in Cupertino, California.
Dubbed as the 'Spaceship Campus,' Apple Park's flying-saucer shaped design realises Steve Jobs' final vision and blurs the boundaries between the workplace and nature - running entirely from sustainable energy. The expansive core and surroundings are also going to be home to 9,000 fruit bearing trees and a unique sensor system will maintain a constant building temperature between 68-77°F, providing a serene sanctuary from the heat of California's intense sun.
