An agile working space in the heart of Glasgow
Back in February, Ellis Whittam, one of the UK’s leading providers of HR, health and safety and employment law, opened a brand new office in central Glasgow. Based in Chester, Ellis Whittam has been rapidly expanding and undertook some extensive research before deciding that Glasgow was the best place to base their next office.
In collaboration with designer, c2: concepts, a three day furniture install took place to launch the opening of the first Scottish office.
The brief for the design was to create a laid back look and feel with a distinctive colour scheme in order to make their employees feel more comfortable and to create a sense of homeliness in the office.
HAY Bella side tables, Connection Mae chairs and Sixteen3 Erik sofas were used in the breakout area of the office to create a simple yet stylish Scandinavian vibe. The addition of floor lamps completes the aesthetic in style and once illuminated the combination of overhead lighting and statement floor lamps creates a layered lighting effect.
The Lyndon Design Agent table was used in the dining area of the office and was perfectly complemented with HAY About A stools to create a convivial setting where employees can gather, unwind and socialise. Simple Muuto pendant lighting was also added to create a strong sense of visual character and striking graphic appeal.
