A stunning office in the heart of London
Bureau are delighted to announce their recently completed project with Skyscanner in the centre of London! Working alongside the in-house design team on their latest space, the new three-floor office sees a re-imagination of Skyscanner’s award-winning office aesthetic.
Working in collaboration with Skyscanner’s in-house design team and Modus, Bureau transformed the three-floor office space into an environment designed to nurture employees, as well as attract the tech industry’s very best talent through a re-imagining of their award-winning office aesthetic.
Skyscanner were keen to introduce the health benefits of adaptable sit and standing desks to their new working environment and selected contemporary Albion desking from Bestuhl and bespoke industrial asymmetric desk ends to bring a sense of urban cool to the new workspace. After extensive shortlisting and product trials, Bestuhl’s ergonomic J15 fully mesh task chair was then selected by staff as their comfortable and adaptable everyday office chair.
A biophillic design approach was adopted when redesigning collaborative office areas such as themed meeting rooms, which take inspiration from the natural beauty of gardens from around the world. Products from leading furniture brands were then introduced to the design scheme, including iconic Scandinavian style staples from Fritz Hansen, Normann Copenhagen, and Swedese. Similar design concepts are now being rolled out throughout their global estate.
Jackie McRobert, Global Facilities Manager at Skyscanner said, "We are delighted with the launch of our latest office in the heart of London at Tottenham Court Road. Our offices are created to attract top talent and support our teams in the work they do, and this one delivers on all counts. Bureau understood our needs and worked with our design team to help create a wonderful functioning aesthetic. We are grateful for their experience and professionalism”.
