HospitalityRegion
Isle of ArranReviving a long established heritage of whisky-making in the south of the Island, Lagg Distillery opened its doors in the summer of 2019. Taking two years to complete, the Denham Benn designed building echoes the contours of its scenic Isle of Arran home.
Interior Design Inspiration
In contrast to the industrial style building, with exposed ceiling and rustic timber and steel beams, Bright 3D drew inspiration for the interior from the natural beauty of the surrounding landscape. Colours and textures from the rich and varied surroundings of mountain, forest and sea bring the outside in.
Hospitality furniture
The sun hitting off a newly furrowed field and the striping in the landscape informed the tile striped atrium floor. Seating is upholstered in heather and sea blue, and the colour ‘Sand’, was chosen for the Normann Copenhagen chairs in the Dramming room.
Distillery Café
In the naturally lit atrium, the stunning view is the focal point. Walnut and Wenge finishes on bar stools and dining chairs complement the natural, pared-back interior.
Distillery Restaurant
In the restaurant, visitors relax on a classic Chesterfield or the more contemporary, Kingsland sofa in tan leather, to enjoy the views over Ailsa Craig and beyond.
Outdoor seating
Furniture on the outdoor terraces blend naturally with the surroundings and, essential for this part of the world, are practical and flexible.
