Projects / Cala Homes
Bringing the team closer to its core Glasgow and West of Scotland market, Cala Homes (West) relocated from Falkirk to Glasgow’s McLellan Works. The new office, located in a restored heritage building on Sauchiehall Street, affirms Cala’s commitment to the city and provides an accessible base for the 80+ team.
Cultural Hub
Taking the opportunity to accommodate new ways of working, flexibility and well-being were at the heart of the design. With a hybrid working team, the new workspace is a cultural hub for collaboration, training, and social interaction.
Flexible Space
Supporting designers, C2 Concepts, Bureau procured solutions for a variety of working environments, meeting, and breakout spaces. Providing flexible space for meetings, events and training, the largest meeting room has a removable partition wall and flip-top meeting tables.
Inclusive Environments
To create an inclusive environment, prioritising well-being was key to the success of the project. Focus space was provided with confidential office call pods, booths for semi-private meetings and a private, tech free space.
Home from Home
Living walls and generous planting enhance air quality and add a visually appealing, home from home touch. Acoustic panels throughout help with sound absorption in the open plan, social, café and breakout spaces.
Colour in Office Design
Blue, a calming colour promoting communication, trust and efficiency is carried throughout the meeting rooms with furnishings and panelling in varying shades. Softer green, lilacs and pinks in the open areas add warmth and depth for a domestic feel.
